Fairfield University on New York Times and The Princeton Review Best-Of Lists

The New York Times named the University as a top institution doing the most to promote the American Dream, and The Princeton Review included Fairfield among the top 15% of schools in the country.

As part of its third annual ranking, the New York Times has placed Fairfield University among the top schools in the country to help create “the American Dream.” The ranking - determined by the College Access Index - measures the economic diversity at the country’s top higher education institutions.

Additionally, the University has been named among the top 15% of all schools in the country as part of The Princeton Review’s annual “Best 382 Colleges.” Fairfield was included in the schools considered to have the “Best Quality of Life” and “Happiest Students.”

“Our Princeton Review editors have always had a high regard for Fairfield’s academic offerings,” said the Princeton Review’s editor-in-Chief, Rob Franek. "Our respect for their undergraduate offerings has only grown over the years, but it’s particularly compelling to see Fairfield this year make our ranking lists for ‘Best Quality of Life’ and for ‘Happiest Students.’  That is a great tribute to Fairfield’s administrators and the appreciation its students have for their outside-the-classroom campus experiences from dorms and food to the beauty of the campus.”

Said Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Jennifer Anderson: “Being a part of both lists is indicative of Fairfield’s commitment to strong academics, as well as the whole student experience. The campus is undergoing a transformation as part of the University’s Campus-Wide Master Plan, which will include new world-class academic facilities, as well as a new dining commons, a new upper-classman residence hall, and a recently renovated recreational complex, to name a few,” she said.
