Field Hockey Team Travels to Europe

After the conclusion of the spring semester, Fairfield’s 2015 MAAC Champion field hockey team embarked on a 10-day journey through Germany, Holland and Austria, playing five competitive matches and taking in the sights and culture of Europe. Their travels included a cruise through the canal in Amersfoort, a bike tour around Utrecht, a visit to the Kroeller-Muller Museum and Mauthausen Memorial and walks through the Schonbrunn and Heidelberg castles. The action on the field included contests against Amersfoort, Almere, Post SV Wien, SC Frankfurt and the Austrian national team.

Along the way, coaches and players from the team have been sharing their experiences and personal reflections in a FairfieldStags.com blog .
