Dolan School Grad Programs Among Nation's Best, U.S. News & World Report

Graduate programs in Fairfield University’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business have been named among the best in the nation according to the annual “Best Graduate Schools” ranking from U.S. News and World Report . Included are Fairfield’s full-time graduate programs in finance, accounting, and marketing at 14 th , 15 th & 19 th , respectively.

Those included were chosen by ratings from “educators at peer schools.” MBA program heads from each of the peer institutions were asked to “nominate up to 10 programs for excellence,” with those receiving the most nominations listed.

“The faculty at the Dolan School consistently help shape the business leaders of tomorrow,” said Lynn Babington, PhD, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. “And they, along with our students, continue to prove they are of the highest caliber.”

In addition to the full-time programs, Fairfield’s part-time MBA program jumped 67 spots to be ranked among the top 50% out of almost 300 institutions in the nation.

“As the University begins to implement a broad array of Strategic Planning Initiatives, our academic programs continue to raise the bar,” said Kevin Lawlor, executive vice president. “When you combine our strong academics with the physical transformation of our campus, it signals an exciting future for Fairfield.”

The ranking is the latest in a string of accolades for the Dolan School’s programs. The last year has seen top rankings for the graduate accounting program from Accounting Degree Review, in which Fairfield was named 16 th in the country for The Top 50 Graduate Accounting Programs and the best school in Connecticut for undergraduate accounting programs; and The Accounting Path, which placed Fairfield in the top 5 schools in New England for graduate accounting degrees.
