NT Live Presents Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet This Month at the Quick Center

Directed by Lyndsey Turner and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, NT Live will broadcast this eagerly awaited production of Hamlet with two HD screenings at the Quick Center on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2 and 7 p.m.

Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great and monumental tragedy. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralyzed by the task, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament. "With performances in London sold out, arts patrons are lining up to catch Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet. The Quick Center has come to the rescue and instead of long queues and a long flight to London, for $25 you can sit back and enjoy this amazing production in the comfort of the Quick – be sure not to miss the opportunity," said Peter Van Heerden, Executive Director of the Quick Center.

Now in its sixth season, NT Live delivers HD broadcasts of stage performances captured live at London’s National Theatre, as well as insider footage and interviews. As one of the preeminent theatres in England, National Theatre offers a wide array of productions including the restaging of classic works and premieres of new plays. Over 3.5 million viewers in more than 1,100 venues around the globe have experienced NT Live broadcasts.

Come join us at the Quick Center for a front-row seat to the London stage! Tickets are $25, $20 for seniors and $10 for children/non-Fairfield University students, and $5 for Fairfield University students.
