For over sixty years, Queen Elizabeth II has met with each of her twelve Prime Ministers in a private — a traditional weekly meeting between the monarch and the Prime Minister known as The Audience. The meetings are private, with only the Queen and the Prime Minister privy to what has been discussed. The Audience imaginatively recreates what these encounters might have been like, from Winston Churchill, through Margaret Thatcher, up until the leaders of the present day.
This engaging play by Peter Morgan, takes spectators into Buckingham Palace and into the private chambers of Queen Elizabeth II as she advises her Prime Ministers on all matters, both public and personal.
