Missoula Children’s Theatre Camps – and more!
Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts offers four summer camps for children grades 1-12
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (March 4, 2015) – Summer is anything but quiet at Fairfield University, where the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will offer exciting camps for children and young teens interested in theatre, hip hop, graffiti and fashion.
This summer, the Quick Center will offer two sessions each of three new camps – Hip Hop, Graffiti and Fashion. Each session runs Monday through Thursday, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Hip Hop Camp will run July 6-9 and July 27-30. In each session, a professional choreographer will help students explore this urban dance form that transcended the streets to become one of the hottest styles on stage. Dancers will learn to isolate their bodies with control, precision and rhythm. The camp is for children nine and up and the fee is $200 per session.
Graffiti Camp will run July 13-16 and August 3-6. Participants will delve into the dynamic, colorful world of street art with a professional artist. Children will learn about graffiti culture and the significance of public art and will create their own masterpieces. This camp is for children 10 and up and the fee is $200 per session.
Fashion Camp will run July 20-23 and August 10-13 and is geared for children 12 and up. Participants will learn design basics, fashion illustration and garment re-invention from a fashion industry expert. The fee is $250 per session.

For the 26th year, the Quick Center will play host to Missoula Children’s Theatre Summer Camps, a series of six, weeklong camps for children in grades 1 to 12. Missoula Children’s Theatre is a nationally known preeminent children’s theatre company based in Montana that tours the country and serves 1,200 communities every year.
At the Quick Center a total of 60 participants will be registered in each session. At the end of the sessions the children will appear in a performance that takes place on Friday evening. There are a variety of speaking and ensemble roles and no experience is necessary. An extended day program is also available.
This summer’s productions are: “Peter and Wendy,” July 6-10 and Aug. 10-14; “Red Riding Hood,” July 13-17; King Arthur’s Quest,” July 20-24; “Sleeping Beauty,” July 27-31; and “The Little Mermaid,” Aug. 3-7.
Tuition is $325 per child, with some discounts available. Quick Center members receive guaranteed session enrollment. For membership details, contact the Box Office at 203-254-4010.
