Thomas Murray is an Associate Professor of Economics at Fairfield University. Dr. Murray received his PhD from the University of Notre Dame and specializes in the fields of Labor Economics and Public Finance. Currently, Dr. Murray’s main research interests focus on the intersection of immigration and the economics of education. In addition to his main research interests, Dr. Murray researches issues related to competitive balance in sports, local taxation and elderly migration, and how households prepare for and perceive risks from impending natural disasters. Dr. Murray teaches courses in Urban Economics, the Economics of Sports, and Public Finance at the undergraduate level.
