Kathi Mettler is teaching as a non-tenure track professor (Instructor, Accounting).  She joined the Accounting Department in the Fall of 2011.  She primarily teaches the taxation courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Kathi also serves as the Director of Learning and Education at WTP Advisors, a global business and tax advisory firm.

Previously, Kathi was a Director in the International Tax Services Group in the Stamford, CT office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She has twenty-four years of Big Four experience and one year of Industry experience in international tax planning and consulting.  Her areas of particular expertise have been planning involving international reorganizations, timing and effect of repatriation of foreign earnings, U.S. tax implications associated with foreign tax credit relief and subpart F issues, tax-efficient use of debt and planning using holding companies and related financing vehicles.  She has led cross-discipline teams in implementing complex Integrated Global Structures.  Kathi served as National Director of the International Tax Services' Learning and Education within PricewaterhouseCoopers.  

Kathi holds a Master of Science in Taxation from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Birmingham-Southern College. She is a Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") in Massachusetts and Connecticut.  She is also a member in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) and International Fiscal Association (“IFA”). She is the Treasurer for the Westchester/Connecticut IFA organization.  Kathi is a frequent speaker on international tax topics.
