Rev. Douglas Peduti S.J.Assistant Professor of Philosophy |
o: Donnarumma Hall Rm 311 |
Current Research Interests
Dr. Peduti's major research lies primarily in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger and its import both as a dialogical method and a site of creative expression to the extent that this helps to explore the philosophical foundations of language and its effects on the person involved in religious and political dialogue. More specifically, he is interested in the problem of "language" and why neither structuralist nor expressive models of language succeed.
Most recent research invesitigates Heidegger's early volumes of phenomenolgy in order to compare models of the person and self with major historical philosophical figures.
