Dr. Nancy Dallavalle is Associate Professor of Religious Studies and Vice President for Mission and Identity at Fairfield University. 

She has taught courses in religious studies and Catholic theology since her arrival at Fairfield in 1993, the year she received a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame.  She served as chair of the department of religious studies from 2008-2014.  Her scholarly interests are in systematic theology, trinitarian theology and gender, but she is also interested in the conversation between science and religion, and in the popular discussion about the role of Catholics in the public square.
