Current Research Interests

Cindy has just finished a study with an intradisciplinary team that looked at intranasal administration of midazalam to stop a seizure for the inpatient epilepsy client. Although the effect of intranasal vs intravenous medication was similar, patients were very satisfied with not having to have the discomfort of an intravenous access.

Cindy is working with a colleague form Quinnipiac University School of Nursing to deterine the health promotional behaviors of urban black women especially those at risk for a stroke.

Cindy and a collague at the Egan School of Nursing are collaborating to describe stroke and diabetes outcomes at two hospitals in the state of CT.
