Current Research Interests

Shadmani’s research interests lie in the area of macroeconomics, fiscal and monetary policy, and applied econometrics. Particularly, her works focus on asymmetric behavior of fiscal and monetary policy. Her recent paper titled, "Fiscal Policy Asymmetries and the Sustainability of U.S. Government Debt Revisited” investigates U.S. fiscal policy sustainability and cyclicality in an empirical structure that allows for asymmetric behavior for fiscal policy.
