The month-long furor was enough to solidify the belief by Jocelyn Boryczka, a political science professor at the school, that student activism is not dead, just much more issue specific.

Jocelyn Boryczka, Fairfield University assistant professor of politics, agreed that, during her husband's first 100 days, Obama has established a persona that's strong, yet personable. "In a sense, I think she has brought family values back to the table," Boryczka said, citing not only Obama's attention to her young daughters, but also her decision to have her mother come live with her and her family at the White House.
