Dr. John T. Slotemaker is Associate Professor and Department Chair of Religious Studies at Fairfield University. He received three B.A.s in English Literature, History and Philosophy from the University of Washington (1999), a M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary (2003) and a Th.M. from Duke Divinity School (2006). Professor Slotemaker completed his Ph.D. in Theology at Boston College (2012), having conducted research at the Philosophisches Seminar, Albert-Ludwigs Universität, Freiburg, Germany (2009), the Herzog August Bibliothek, Wolfenbüttel, Germany (2010) and the Faculty of Theology, University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland (2011) during his years as a doctoral student.

 Professor Slotemaker is a member of the Société Internationale pour l'Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale and the Internationale Gesellschaft für Theologische Mediävistik. He has given over 35 presentations at academic conferences in Canada, England, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland and the United States.
