The Infrastructure Services Team maintains the servers and switches that provide the University with e-mail, data storage, user authentication, virus protection, and other network-based services. Various types of network user accounts are set up and maintained for a variety of servers, including Student, Faculty, and Staff web server space; Microsoft Exchange e-mail; and general faculty and staff file storage.
Accounts are set up for new faculty and staff at the time of hiring. If you are having problems with an existing network account, please phone the ITS Help Desk at ext. 4069 to report the problem and a Network Technician will be assigned to troubleshoot the issue and get back to you.
Network storage space is made available to faculty and staff for academic and work purposes via a service is called Xythos. This storage space is accessible from on and off campus. To request Xythos network storage space, please send an e-mail to email@example.com from your Exchange/Outlook or my.Fairfield account.
