Fairfield University Wireless Network Instructions

Wireless Help Menu

Welcome to Fairfield University!

The Wireless Help Menu is intended to provide information about connecting to Fairfield University's wireless networks.

The Fairfield University wireless networks are each intended for different members of our communities. Please refer to the sections below to determine how you should connect.

Full Wireless Instructions can be found by visiting Fairfield.edu/wireless

If you have questions, please contact the ITS4U Help Desk at ext. 4069 for assistance.

For Students using laptops, desktops, tablets or smartphones (STUDENT-S):

  1. Please connect to the STUDENT-S Wireless Network.
  2. When prompted for a security key, enter the password that has been provided to you (please note that the key is case-sensitive).  If you have not received the password contact the Help Desk.
  3. If you have previously registered with Bradford Network Sentry, you will be able to browse the web immediately. If you have not previously registered with Bradford Network Sentry, open a web browser and go to any web page.
  4. You will be redirected to the Fairfield University Network Registration page. Please follow the prompts to register your device.

For Faculty, Staff and Non-Employees with a NetID who are using laptops, desktops or mobile-devices (FACSTAFF-S):

  1. As of June 29th, FACSTAFF-S has changed.
  2. When prompted for a security key, enter the password that has been provided to you (please note that the key is case-sensitive).  If you have not received the password contact the Help Desk.
  3. If you have previously registered with Bradford Network Sentry, you will be able to browse the web immediately. If you have not previously registered with Bradford Network Sentry, open a web browser and go to any web page.
  4. You will be redirected to the Fairfield University Network Registration page. Please follow the prompts to register your device.

For Guests of Fairfield University who do not fall into the above categories (Fairfield Guest):

Please note that the Fairfield Guest network has limited functionality and is only for Guests and Visitors of the University.

To Access the new “Fairfield Guest” Wi-Fi please follow the 2 steps below.

  1. From your Wi-Fi settings, select the “Fairfield Guest” network.
  2. Click Connect

You should now be connected to our Internet Service.
