Tuition Remission/Grant-In-Aid

Fairfield University encourages continued learning and reflection among our employees. Taking advantage of classes offered here on our campus is a great way to do so. To assist, the University offers a tuition benefit to full-time employees, their spouses and children. Regular part-time employees are eligible at a prorated rate.

Tuition Remission - Tuition benefit for employees & their spouses

Full-time employees receive a maximum of 18 academic credits annually with a maximum of 6 credits per semester in the undergraduate, graduate, and certain doctorate programs upon start of employment. More information pertaining to covered programs can be obtained in Human Resources.

Grant-in-Aid - Tuition benefit for dependents of employees

Full-time faculty are eligible for 100% grant-in-aid for Fairfield undergraduate schools during the fall, spring, and summer semesters, as well as the January intersession. They are also entitled to one-half or 50% tuition grant-in-aid for the Prep School. Nieces and nephews of University Jesuits are eligible under this section.

Full-time exempt and non-exempt personnel are eligible for grant-in-aid during the fall, spring, and summer semesters, as well as the January intersession on a tiered rate based on years of completed service to the University. After four (4) completed years of continuous full-time service at the University, 100% of tuition is covered.

Full-time administrators and staff follow a similar tiered schedule for Prep School grant-in-aid. After four (4) completed years of continuous full-time service, 50% of tuition is covered.

All requests for tuition benefits must be requested through Human Resources prior to the start of each semester.

Note: All persons receiving tuition benefits must meet the normal admission and academic requirements.
