About the Blessing of the Boats Ceremony...

Thank you to all those who were able to come to campus for our "Blessing of the Boats" ceremony on September 6! It is always exciting to see alumni, parents, and friends of Fairfield Rowing at our races and events. And to those who couldn't attend, you can see what you missed.

We're back in training and working hard to make sure we unify our technique and pull together to make boats go fast. We have started to win races that years ago seemed only a fantasy-and in three brand new boats: Ignatius, Mark C. Reed '96, and Francis J. Marx V '04!

We also want to thank to everyone who played their part in supporting the team, presenting us with the opportunity to make a dramatic improvement to our fleet, especially the Duffy and Marx families, our parent-alumni collaboration of donors.

Working together, our student-athletes, the Friends of Fairfield Rowing and the University administration have made this happen. We dreamed a little and got this far-now it's time to dream big!
Be sure to join us in the Alumni Tent in Reunion Village
at the Head of the Charles race on Saturday, October 18!
