Graduate Certificate Programs

These programs are for working professionals who have earned a bachelor's degree but need to enhance a resume, improve skills, prepare for a job change, or just want to continue to learn in a field they did not major in at college. A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college is required.

Business Analytics Certificate

The Business Analytics Certificate is designed for working professionals who are in need of fundamental knowledge in the area of business analytics, either to better perform in a current position, or to become more marketable for a future role in their career. The certificate program covers fundamentals of business analytics including introduction to business analytics, forecasting and predictive analytics, database systems for business analytics and data mining.

This fall start certificate is a great option for those who are currently unable to commit to the master’s degree in Business Analytics.

The Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics is a 12-credit programdesigned for the following audiences:

  • Those who are in analytical positions and are in need of foundationalknowledge in the area.
  • Those who are contemplating the MSBA but do not have the time/resources at the moment to undertake the degree program.
  • Those who seek a foundation in analytics skills in order to manage"big data" and other quantitative issues.


The program consists of the following four courses:

Required courses:

BA 500 Introduction to Business Analytics 
QA 500 Business Forecasting and Predictive Analytics
BA 510 Databases for Business Analytics 
BA 540 Business Intelligence 

The four required courses can be completed in one year's time by taking two courses (BA 0500 and QA 0500) in the fall semester, and two courses(BA 0510 and BA 0540) in the spring semester.

 

Business Essentials Certificate: The Mini MBA

The Mini MBA is for students who have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in something other than business who now would like to gain basic business knowledge.

  • This is a perfect certificate for new small business owners who want to get an overview of the major areas of running a business.
  • This is also an attractive program for graduates who aren’t sure if they want to commit to an MBA program.
  • The flexibility of this program allows you to take these courses over one summer.

These courses are the required foundational courses in the MBA program. Should you decide to continue once completing the certificate you have already completed 12 graduate credits!

Marketing Analytics Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Marketing Analytics is a 12-credit program designed for the following audiences:

  • Those who want to enhance their quantitative background in marketing
  • Those who are contemplating a master’s degree, such as the MSBA, but do not have the time or resources at the moment to pursue the degree program
  • Those who are in analytical positions and need foundational knowledge in marketing analytics

The program consists of the following four courses:

MK 585 Seminar: Contemporary Topics in Marketing
or MK 590 Experimental Research in Marketing

BA 505 Python for Business Analytics

Strategic Human Resources in the Global Environment Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resources in the Global Environment is a 12-credit program designed for the following audiences:

  • Those who are in human resources positions and are in need of additional knowledge in the area
  • Those who are contemplating the MBA but do not have the time or resources at the moment to pursue the degree program
  • Those who need a foundation in human resources in order to strategically manage workforce challenges

The program consists of the following four courses:

Admission Procedures

Those seeking formal admission to a certificate program must complete the following procedures:

  1. Apply online and complete the formal application.
  2. Pay a non-refundable $60 application fee.
  3. Submit your official undergraduate transcript.
