Dyslexia Interventionist Certification

On This Page

The Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Interventionist Certification is issued by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), a subsidiary of The International Dyslexia Association. Because Fairfield University's Reading and Language Development program is Accredited by the International Dyslexia Association, candidates completing one of the certification or degree options offered are eligible for this certification after passing the Knowledge and Practice Examination for Effective Reading Instruction (KPEERI).

ndividuals wishing to pursue the Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Interventionist Certification do so for a variety of reasons. Some individuals are interested in being able to better serve at-risk students and students with Dyslexia in their own classrooms and schools, others are interested in providing private tutorial services to students with Dyslexia, or in being able to demonstrate the strength of their candidacy to districts when seeking employment or advanced positions.
