How To Apply For Graduation

All Students

You must resolve all holds on your account.

The completion of the degree graduation application does not guarantee graduation. All graduation requirements must be met. If you have any questions, please contact your Dean's Office.

After you receive notification that the application is available, please complete your application for graduation online as outlined below.

In, go to:

    • Registrar

    • Select the Apply to Graduate task.
    • Step through the easy to navigate forms.

Note: If you are a dual curriculum student (have majors in both BA and BS programs), you must select your primary major which is the first major listed. If you do not wish for that to be your primary program, please do not complete your application. You must contact your Dean’s Office and request the change. Once the change has been processed, you can proceed with your application. DO NOT SUBMIT TWO APPLICATIONS.

    • Your Expected Graduation Date/Term must match the term you're applying for.

For example, May 2016 graduation:

Expected Graduation Date: May 22, 2016
Expected Graduation Term: Spring 2016
Expected Graduation Year: 2015-2016

If you think your graduation Date and Term are not correct, please contact your Dean’s Office.

    • If the Date and Term match, then you may have already submitted your application. Once you submit your graduation application, you will not be able to return to the apply pages.
    • If neither scenario explains your issue, please email Please include your student ID number and the exact issue you are encountering.
  • Please carefully review all information on your application. Once you have successfully submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation page with further instructions. You will also receive an email which will include any additional steps required to complete the process.


Graduate Students and Part-Time Undergraduates ONLY

Note: This excludes seniors who went part-time during their last semester at Fairfield.

You are required to pay the $175 graduation fee using the corresponding link below. You must select the correct link for your college or your fee will not be properly processed. If you cannot pay online using a credit card, please bring a check or money order to the Registrar’s Office in the Kelley Center. Payment must be received within 24 hours of submitting your application. Failure to pay the fee will result in your application being rejected.
