Health Communication Certificate

Admission Requirements

The Health Communication for Healthcare Professionals Certificate Program is intended for anyone with an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree who is either a/an:

  1. Licensed healthcare provider
  2. Employee of a healthcare organization (nonprofit or for-profit)
  3. Graduate student in a health profession-related program

Who can apply?

Because of the depth and diversity in U.S. healthcare careers, this certificate program is open to a wide array of healthcare-related professionals and/or graduate students including, but not limited to:

  • Clinical healthcare providers (nurses, doctors, physician-assistants, social workers, pharmacists, physical/occupational therapists, laboratory/radiology/pulmonary technicians, music/art therapists, etc.)
  • Healthcare-related professionals (public health, attorneys, administrators, and so forth)
  • Graduate students in health profession-related programs (MPA, MPH, MSW, DNP, MD, DO, MSN, PhD, MS, etc.)

Admission Deadline

Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Admission Procedure

Students seeking admission must complete the following procedure. Submit:

  • A complete application
  • A copy of your state-issued, current health profession license OR ask the Human Resource Department at your healthcare-related organization to send a letter confirming your employment, or have your graduate health profession-related program send an official transcript showing you are currently enrolled
