More and more, successful business leaders require both broad strategic perspectives and the analytical capacity to make decisions based on data. Fairfield Dolan’s dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) degree program combines foundational business skills with specialized knowledge for data management and analytics.

The MBA/MSBA dual degree prepares professionals with data analytics and strategic management skills so graduates stand out in today’s highly demanding and competitive job market. The 60-credit dual degree program is designed to help prepare students with both technology-driven skills and broad, strategic perspectives.

Capstone: Business Analytics Applications

Accounting (optional specialization: Taxation), Finance, Management (optional specializations: Strategic Human Resources or Global Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship), and Marketing (optional specialization: Marketing Analytics). Note that Information Systems & Business Analytics is not allowed as a concentration within this dual degree.

*Candidates can earn the dual degree with 60 credits which can be reduced by testing out of or by waiving pre-requisite courses based on prior coursework. For candidates without an undergraduate business degree, an additional nine credits are required.

Dolan Admission

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or the international equivalent) or have completed the equivalent coursework prior to beginning the program.

Graduate Fellowship

Fairfield Dolan offers merit-based graduate fellowships that provide substantial financial support towards the cost of tuition. In addition, students who qualify can apply for a competitive scholarship that covers much of the cost of attending. Admitted students are eligible to apply for a limited number of entrance scholarships. These one-time awards are applied to offset the cost of the first semester of study. As these are very competitive, it is best to apply early if you wish to be considered for this form of support.

Women in Scholars Program-for candidates interested in pursuing a Fairfield Dolan graduate degree program.  This scholarship also includes a mentoring component with Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.

Synchrony Co-Op Program-for MSBA candidates interested in an immersive internship and capstone research potential with Synchrony Financial.

The Hartford Co-Op Program-for MSBA candidates interested in an immersive full-time internship and capstone research potential with The Hartford.

Professional Co-Op Programs with The Hartford and Synchrony

Fairfield Dolan has partnered with both The Hartford and Synchrony, two Fortune 500 companies, for Co-Op programs for graduate students, particularly those interested in business analytics fields. These opportunities immerse Fairfield graduate students in a real-life work environment, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the employees of the companies on projects. The Programs offer flexible in-person and/or remote positions ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, 3 to 6 month engagements.

Depending on how many prerequisite courses are required, the dual degree program can be completed as quickly as in two years of full time study, or even sooner if some courses are taken during summer sessions.

All MSBA courses are offered both in-person and online. MBA courses are offered in a hybrid format blending online and in-person learning with some options offered fully online.

Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

GMAT/GRE waivers are routinely granted for sufficiently strong undergraduate performance, substantial work experience, and other possibilities. Please see the admissions page for more information.
