About FAME
Created as a collaboration with Fairfield University, The Town of Fairfield Economic Development Department, and Kleban Properties, now entrepreneurs can find local help and resources right in downtown Fairfield.
FAME gives access to people with a business idea to a program designed to assist them in achieving their goal of viable business entity.
With access to new technology, technical resources, business basics, and business tools, ideas are molded into a cohesive model that can go to market or be presented to potential investors, partners, or financial institutions.
The Dolan School of Business aspires to be an innovative leader in Jesuit business education, enriched by a liberal arts core that engages students in a vibrant and caring learning community. We seek to cultivate ethical business leaders to ensure a successful global future. As part of this education, we view experiential learning as an essential component of every student’s education and encourage all students to do at least one internship while at Fairfield University. A survey of the class of 2014 revealed that 96% of our business students achieved this goal, with the average being 1.73 internships per student.
Our goal in working with internship sponsors is to create a mutually beneficial environment where students expand on classroom knowledge and gain real-word experience, while companies get a fresh perspective from motivated and industrious future leaders.
Students in the Dolan School of Business may opt to do paid or unpaid internships for academic credit. When doing an internship for academic credit we ask employers to:
