Outdoor Location

The 69th Commencement ceremony is scheduled to be held on Bellarmine Lawn. Commencement will be held outdoors, even in drizzle or rain, so please come prepared with appropriate rain gear. We ask attendees to please refrain from using umbrellas during the ceremony so as to not block the view of others.

Indoor Location

In the case of severe and dangerous weather, officials may choose to move the ceremony indoors to Alumni Hall. View the campus map here. Each degree candidate is given a maximum of five (5) tickets for the outdoor Commencement exercises, which can also be used for the indoor ceremony if needed.

Changes to ceremony location:

Any delays or cancellations will be communicated via the website at fairfield.edu and the University’s Stag Alert system. Information will also be placed on www.fairfield.edu/commencement.

ARE THERE OTHER PLACES I CAN WATCH THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES?

For those who enjoy the comfort of air conditioning, with comfortable seating, coffee, and a great view of the graduates, consider using the indoor viewing locations around campus.
For those who can’t attend Commencement in person, ceremony will be streamed live on the University’s Facebook page.

HOW MAY TICKETS BE PROCURED?

Each student may claim up to five (5) tickets for families and friends to use for the ceremony. Tickets are required for everyone other than infants. All five tickets will be valid for the indoor ceremony Alumni Hall in in the event of severe and dangerous weather. Students may pick up their tickets on Tuesday, May 14 or Thursday, May 16 in the Egan School of Nursing, Room 103 & 104 from 5 – 7 p.m. Additional dates will be announced soon.

Students are required to bring their Stag Card for pick up, and are also reminded to safeguard their tickets. Lost tickets will not be replaced.
