Gianna Greco ’26 grew up in Staten Island, NY, and came to Fairfield University drawn to the idea of a career in business—a field she saw as a natural blend of creativity and strategy, intuition and analytics. Scholarship support made a Fairfield education possible and, just as importantly, allowed her to take full advantage of everything Fairfield offers. “I had the freedom to fully say ‘yes’ to the whole Fairfield experience—leadership, internships, research, study abroad, and campus involvement—without having to choose between working to afford school and immersing myself in it,” she said.
That freedom translated into exceptional achievement. Greco graduated summa cum laude in Dec. 2026, earning bachelor’s degrees in both marketing and finance from the Charles F. Dolan School of Business. Her academic success was recognized through multiple merit-based scholarships, induction into the international business honor society Beta Sigma Gamma, and selection as a Corrigan Scholar—a highly selective academic and leadership distinction that provides opportunities for student-faculty research.
Through the E. Gerald Corrigan ’63 Scholarship, Greco conducted research under the mentorship of Camelia Micu, PhD. Her project, titled “Marketing Wellness to Gen Z: Collegiate Dining as a Case Study in Food, Health, and Sustainability Strategy,” examined how dining programs across Northeast universities reflect broader patterns in Gen Z food behavior.
During her time at Fairfield, Greco demonstrated strong commitment to leadership and service. She served as president of the Marketing Club and co-president of the Finance Club, leading both with a focus on strengthening connections between the University and the professional world. “Whether inviting alumni and brand managers to speak with students, mentoring peers into internship pipelines, or helping underclassmen navigate their own career paths, I’ve always felt a responsibility to bring opportunities back to the Fairfield community,” she shared. Greco was also selected as a new student leader, supporting first-year students and their families during Orientation and helping them navigate campus resources.
Greco further strengthened her professional experience through internships in brand management at Newell Brands, procurement at Henkel, and sales at Haddad Brands. She continues to build on that foundation as a collegiate marketing intern with Aramark, supporting Stags Hospitality.
Reflecting on her time at Fairfield, Greco described her journey as “deeply whole—filled with purpose, connection, and joy.” Grateful for the opportunities made possible through scholarships, she remains committed to giving back. “Now it’s my turn to be a resource in our alumni community and help the next generation of Stags,” she said. “Connecting students with alumni, corporate partners, and mentors has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my time here–and something I will continue to do, long into my career.”
