Team Leaders' Letter

Dear Friends of Fairfield Women’s Swimming & Diving,

Thank you so much for all that you have given and continue to give to the Fairfield Women’s Swimming & Diving team.

When sharing stories with each other about why we chose to come to Fairfield, we both shared similar reasons: the vibrant campus, Jesuit community, close proximity to the beach and New York City. Fairfield was, and continues to be, a perfect fit for both of us athletically and academically.

We are thankful for all of the opportunities that Fairfield and our donors have provided us and the entire team. On this STAGiving Day, March 20, we plan to participate and give back in honor of our own experiences as Stags and to ensure that future student-athletes have access to the same, or even better, opportunities than we have. You’re invited to join the celebration and make a gift in honor of your own Fairfield experience.

Because of our time at Fairfield, we’ve experienced so many unforgettable adventures that make us proud to be Stags. And that’s why we’re giving back in honor of our most memorable Fairfield experiences to date:

For me, Kelly Cordes, my most memorable moment was being at the MAAC conference meet this past February. I was excited to get personal best times and to win the meet overall as a team.

For me, Emily Vlass, my most memorable moment was when the women’s team claimed our first MAAC title. We were all able to share the amazing moment together and see all of our hard work pay off.

Thank you to all alumni, parents, and friends for all of your support. A big part of the reason that our team was able to do so well this season was because of your contributions. Your help provided new resources and gear that allowed us to perform better in and out of the water.

We hope you’ll continue your support on STAGiving Day by making a gift in honor of a coach, student-athlete, or program that made a difference to you, a family member, or a neighbor. A gift of any size makes a great difference for our small program. And new this year, if you make a gift of at least $75, you can opt in to receive an exclusive pair of Stag socks. Thank you for contributing to the success of Fairfield Women’s Swimming & Diving!

Go Stags,

Kelly Cordes’19 and Emily Vlass ‘19
