Captain's Letter

Dear Friends of Fairfield Women’s Volleyball,

Thank you so much for all that you have given and continue to give to the Fairfield Women’s Volleyball team.

I chose Fairfield because when I stepped onto campus for the first time, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride for the University from everyone on campus, and witnessed the community of students, professors, and coaches pushing each other to reach their full potential. With Fairfield being a Jesuit institution, I see Magis everyday on the court, in the classroom, and in my teammates.

I am thankful for all of the opportunities that Fairfield and our donors have provided me. On this STAGiving Day, March 20, I plan to participate and give back in honor of my own experiences as a Stag and to ensure that future student-athletes have access to the same, or even better, opportunities than I have. You’re invited to join the celebration and make a gift in honor of your own Fairfield experience.

Because of my time at Fairfield, I have experienced so many unforgettable adventures that make me proud to be a Stag. I give back in honor of my most memorable Fairfield experiences to date which were the times when our team won three MAAC Championships during my three years as a Stag. During my freshman year, we were one of the youngest teams in the country with 10 newcomers. Even with all of the major injuries our team sustained during my sophomore year, we finished with our first undefeated season. Finally, this year came with huge victories, and the climactic end of winning the MAAC for the third time, with a consecutive undefeated season, in Alumni Hall in front of friends and family. Each season and eventual MAAC Championship win came with its own challenges, but those challenges truly united us and created a bond I will always carry.

Thank you to the alumni, parents, and friends who contributed to make these opportunities possible. Because of your support, we are able to strive for excellence and shattered records. Every donation, large or small, helps build our team to compete at the highest level.

I hope you’ll continue your support on STAGiving Day by making a gift in honor of a coach, student-athlete, or program that made a difference to you, a family member, or a neighbor. With your help, our team can reach our highest potential and continue to improve our game. And new this year, if you make a gift of at least $75, you can opt in to receive an exclusive pair of Stag socks. See how your support will make a difference by visiting

Thank you for contributing to the success of Fairfield Women’s Volleyball!

Go Stags,

Nora Quinn ’19
