Coach's Letter

Dear Family, Friends, and Alumni,

With the summer winding down, I wanted to update you about what we’ve been up to the past couple of months. As most of you know, we had an amazing run at the end of the 2017 season. We went into the MAAC tourney as the sixth seed and came out the Champions! Destinee Pallotto led the way in the circle by pitching a three-hitter, (2) two-hitters, and a no-hitter in the championship game. That, along with timely hitting, allowed us to beat Monmouth in the conference finals 2-0! The NCAA sent us to another SEC sight down in Baton Rouge, LA — LSU!  What an amazing atmosphere and experience.  While it was a hard-fought battle, we ended up losing to them 2-1. LSU ended up finishing 5th in the country so we felt pretty good about ourselves.

We finished up summer recruiting trips to New Jersey, Massachusetts, Colorado, and California, and are now looking forward to our fall season. We have four newcomers arriving in September. Sam Merino (New Hyde Park, NY), Lauryn Rhinehart (Woodinville, WA), Mikayla Rubin (Chino Hills, CA), and Drew Westford (Custer, WA) will make up the class of 2021.

Warm Regards,

Julie Brzezinski
Head Softball Coach
