Team Leaders' Letter

Dear Friends of Fairfield Men’s Swimming & Diving,

Thank you so much for all that you have given and continue to give to the Fairfield Men’s Swimming & Diving team.

When sharing stories with each other about why we chose to come to Fairfield, we both shared a similar important reason: it offered us an amazing opportunity to work towards an elite level of academic and athletic success. Fairfield athletes and coaches prided themselves on achieving excellence in both the classroom and in athletics, without compromise.

We are thankful for all of the opportunities that Fairfield and donors have provided us and the entire team. On this STAGiving Day, March 20, we plan to participate and give back in honor of our own experiences as Stags and to ensure that future student-athletes have access to the same, or even better, opportunities than we have. You’re invited to join the celebration and make a gift in honor of your own Fairfield experience.

Because of our time at Fairfield, we’ve experienced so many unforgettable adventures that make us proud to be Stags. And that’s why we’re giving back in honor of our most memorable Fairfield experiences to date:

For me, Jordan Rahurahu, my most memorable moment at Fairfield would have to be my first day on campus. I only knew one person on the team before coming here, but as soon as I arrived everyone was inviting me out to get to know me better. This team and community is so welcoming, so humble, and is like family to me.

And for me, Nick Adams, my most memorable Fairfield experiences are the training trips that we go on once a year over winter break. The training during this time requires an intense amount of focus and hard work and being provided with the opportunity to travel to a new environment and get my mind off of all other distractions is a great way to not only improve my speed in the pool, but also build team chemistry.

Thank you to the alumni, parents, and friends who contributed to make these opportunities possible.

We as a team would like to thank you for your generosity. The Fairfield Swimming & Diving team is on the rise because of your support. To continue growing our program and become a dominant force in the MAAC, it is vital that we continue to up our game with new training techniques that require specialty equipment. Your contributions are so critical to our program’s success.

We hope you’ll continue your support on STAGiving Day by making a gift in honor of a coach, student-athlete, or program that made a difference to you, a family member, or a neighbor. A gift of any size makes a great difference for our program. And new this year, if you make a gift of at least $75, you can opt in to receive an exclusive pair of Stag socks. See how your support will make a difference by visiting fairfield.edu/STAGiving.

Thank you for contributing to the success of Fairfield Men’s Swimming & Diving!

Go Stags,

Nick Adams ‘20 and Jordan Rahurahu ‘20
