Captains' Letter

Dear Friend of Fairfield Field Hockey,

Thank you so much for all that you have given and continue to give to the Fairfield Field Hockey team.

We chose to come to Fairfield because when we stepped on campus, it felt like a second home. The field hockey team was so welcoming and kind, and the academic programs seemed to fit our needs. We are thankful for all of the opportunities that Fairfield and donors have provided us and the entire team. On this STAGiving Day, March 20, we plan to participate and give back in honor of our own experiences as Stags and to ensure that future student-athletes have access to the same, or even better, opportunities than we have. You’re invited to join the celebration and make a gift in honor of your own Fairfield experience.

Because of our time at Fairfield, we’ve experienced so many unforgettable adventures that make us proud to be Stags. And that’s why we’re giving back in honor of our most memorable Fairfield experiences to date — our team's trip to Europe and winning the MAAC this past season. During our trip to Europe, we played five games in the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria, and were able to visit some of our foreign teammates' homes, experience the culture of these countries, and play our favorite sport in a completely different environment. And winning the MAAC was just as exciting; our team knew what we had to do, and we were able to turn the season around after some tough losses to claim another title. Thank you to the alumni, parents, and friends who contributed to make this opportunity possible.

Through our years here, we’ve witnessed the significant impact that donors have made on our athletic careers, such as the transformation and modernization of the field hockey locker room. This year alone, we got a new carpet, couches, TV, paint, chairs, and technology in our locker room. We look forward to improving it even more with new lockers, and by putting each senior class' favorite quote on the wall.

Nothing that we have accomplished would have happened without you. Donors strengthen Fairfield’s Athletics programs, and we cannot thank you enough for that. We hope you’ll continue your support on STAGiving Day by making a gift in honor of a coach, student-athlete, or program that made a difference to you, a family member, or a neighbor. And new this year, if you make a gift of at least $75, you can opt in to receive an exclusive pair of Stag socks. See how your support will make a difference by visiting

Thank you for contributing to the success of Fairfield Field Hockey!

Go Stags,
