Experience the wonder of Machine de Cirque, the international circus sensation that captivates audiences with creative, funny, and visually stunning performances. Machine de Cirque acrobats literally fly through the air, leaving audience members on the edge of their seats.

“Machine de Cirque finds ways to marry circus arts, music, and dance movement,” says The Boston Globe. “And as with the best of those productions, Machine de Cirque amounts to a serial astonishment when it is clicking on all cylinders.”

A non-profit organization based in Quebec City, Machine de Cirque was founded by Vincent Dube – a civil engineer with a passion for circus performance. In a recent interview with a local Connecticut reporter, Dube described how he set about to create a family-style circus that combines humor with the daring and joie de vivre of his acrobatic performers. Read that interview here.

While telling the story of five coworkers traveling through a post-apocalyptic world, the Machine de Cirque performance at the Quick will showcase incredible acrobatic stunts and a cheeky sense of humor. Audiences will have a ringside seat to bicycle stunts, juggling, and men flying off of giant teeter-boards, all on a set comprised of vertigo-inducing scaffolding and ropes.

Machine de Cirque strives to deliver spectacular performances, and to expand their team through collaboration with other regional cultural organizations for the development of local talent.  Members of the troupe recently made headlines by breaking the Guinness World Record for Most Consecutive Backflips on a Teeter Board. For a preview of the acrobatic thrills in store for Quick Center audiences on April 20 and 21, check out the video clip below.
