Integrated Marketing Process

Fairfield’s Integrated Marketing Managers (IMMs) work collaboratively with campus partners in all areas of the University to create strategic marketing and communication using the widest variety of communication and marketing tools, including digital, print, PR, video, photography, social media, and more.

To help us help you, please read through the project basics below. The time it takes to complete your project depends on the scope of the project. Please contact us 6-8 weeks in advance to allow us to do our best work.

Any information you can share about your goals for this project will help us develop our strategy.

  • What are you promoting?
  • Who is your audience?
  • What do you hope to achieve?
  • What is the key message you want to communicate?

Before we can do any planning, we need to know what parameters we are dealing with.

  • What is your budget?
  • What is your timeline?
  • What are you hoping we will help you do?

The more time we have to get your projects done, the better for everyone. Please keep in mind that most projects require a minimum of 3-4 weeks of lead time to effectively produce.

The sooner you contact us, the more opportunity we’ll have to develop outstanding ideas.

Once you have reached out about your request, your IMM will review it with the team. Please allow 2 days for our staff to follow up with questions. Keep in mind, projects are scheduled based on timing, strategic priorities, and resources available.

All projects must meet the University’s brand standards, as defined in the University Branding Guidelines.

The person who submits the request form will be our contact in your department. It will be that person’s responsibility to get approvals from all stakeholders before, during, and upon completion of M&C’s work with you.

When the Office of Marketing and Communications has drafts of materials for you to review, we will share them electronically. For each project, we anticipate no more than three rounds of edits, with the third draft being a final approval. For all rounds of edits, we expect our partners to do thorough reviews for errors. Please note:

  • Additional changes beyond the first three rounds of edits will require a revised timeline.
  • Any reprints, corrections, or cancellations made after final approval will incur additional costs for the requesting department.

Please note that delays in the project due to missing or incomplete materials, which result in delays to the review/approval process, will result in adjustments to final delivery dates.
