IT Security at Fairfield University is dedicated to the safety and privacy of all students, faculty, and staff. We frequently reassess our security posture and adjust our defenses to protect against a persistent and ever-changing threat. We partner with best of breed companies to implement solutions that balance both security and usability. Awareness is a crucial component in our strategy, as we believe human firewalls are our most advanced line of defense. We co-chair the Cyber Incident Response Committee, which includes University leaders and outside partners, and drill regularly for a variety of emergency scenarios.

IT Security interfaces with the academic community through speaking engagements, internships, and development of the Cybersecurity Lab, which provides real world exposure to the malicious tactics in use on the Internet today. Finally, IT Security prides itself on attention to detail, customer service, and being a good steward of the technology, which empowers the University to pursue its goals and mission with confidence.
