Meet Our Advisory Boards

Charles F. Dolan School of Business

The Advisory Board of the Dolan School includes approximately 25 members with demonstrated knowledge, leadership, and professional experience in a particular field. The Dolan School focuses its mission on providing excellent undergraduate and graduate programs for students regionally and nationally.

 

College of Arts & Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences Board of Advisors was launched in Spring 2005 and consists of an array of distinguished professionals with interests in the work of the College of Arts and Sciences. The leadership board serves as ambassadors of The College and assists in the fundraising efforts in support of The College's long-term growth.

 

Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health

The Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies' Advisory Board consists of an array of distinguished professionals with interests in healthcare and nursing. Serving as champions of strategic direction, the advisory board collaborates with the Dean and faculty to advance the Egan School to higher levels of expertise, innovation and national/international prominence.

 

School of Engineering

The School of Engineering maintains direct relations with area industries and manufacturers. These open lines of communication encourage the flow of information and support that keeps the engineering curriculum current and relevant to the environment in industry.

 

School of Education and Human Development

Members of the School of Education and Human Development Advisory Board are accomplished community members and professionals committed to advancing the mission of the School. Advisory Board members represent each of the School of Education and Human Development's academic programs and outreach initiatives in education and the human services. The board promotes the mission of the School, advises on strategic planning and programmatic initiatives, assists in fundraising, and fosters outreach and communication with professional and community constituencies.

 

Kanarek Center for Palliative Care Nursing Education

The Kanarek Center for Palliative Care Nursing Education Advisory Board is comprised of distinguished professionals with interests in healthcare and nursing.

 

Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality

The Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality is comprised of an array of individuals committed to supporting the faith-life of the students, faculty and staff of Fairfield University as well as individuals from the larger community outside of the University.

 

Center for Faith and Public Life

The Center for Faith & Public Life advisory board is comprised of individuals who are dedicated to prepare students to be global citizens; generate research-based solutions to current social problems; and create a public forum for dialogue on issues where faith and public life intersect.

 

Center for Catholic Studies

The Center for Catholic Studies advisory board supports the academic component of "mission and identity" education and programming on campus, promotes an understanding and appreciation of the Catholic intellectual tradition, and establish programming for and outreach to the local community.

Bennett Center for Judaic Studies

The Bennett Center for Judaic Studies is an academic center that strives to enrich the intellectual, cultural, and spiritual dialogue of Fairfield University. Continuing the vision of Carl and Dorothy Bennett, the Center offers continued learning experiences and greater campus-wide awareness of Jewish history, ethical values, and religious observance. It also seeks to engage the Greater Fairfield communities through lectures and annual programs. The Bennett Center works in collaboration with the undergraduate interdisciplinary Judaic Studies program, the Center for Catholic Studies, Campus Ministry, local Jewish community organizations, and other partnering centers and offices.
