Erin Ekberg's Bio

Erin EkbergHi!
My name is Erin and I am a junior at Fairfield University. I am a marketing major and currently Studying Abroad in Florence, Italy. I will be posting on this blog some of my experiences being abroad, putting up picture of places I get to visit, and sharing with you my daily life living and studying in Italy.

Here is a short bio for you to get to know me better:
I grew up in Basking Ridge, NJ and attended Ridge High School. I love to watch the NY Giants and my favorite activities are skiing, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite musical artists are Rascal Flatts, Dave Matthews Band, and Bruce Springsteen and my favorite movies are Titanic, Boondock Saints, and High School Musical. I LOVE attending Fairfield University and am involved in a number of different activities. Some of them are: Inter-Residence Hall Association, Tour Guides, FUSA, Orientation Committee, Marketing Club, Sophomore Success, Fairfield Corps, and Fairfield Ski Team. Over my sophomore year, I was a member of the Ignatian Residential Community. It was an amazing experience over which I learned about myself and grew spiritually and emotionally as a person. I am very excited, and a bit nervous about spending the semester in Florence.

I will be writing in this blog all of the different experiences I'll be having while abroad. I will be taking 4 classes at Florence University of the Arts as well as having an Internship. I will be taking Italian Language, International Marketing, Renaissance Art in Florence, and History of the Mafia. I will be traveling with the school on trips around Italy. I will be going to Rome, Sicily, Amalfi/Capri/Pompeii, Parma/Modena/Ferrara, and Vienna. I also hope to visit on my own some of my other friends that are also studying abroad across Europe.

Please feel free to e-mail me. I'd love to answer questions about any of my experiences both in Italy and at Fairfield too!
