Meet some of our students
Sean Palani - Returning student
Always in the back of my mind I always knew that there was something missing and that was getting my Bachelor's Degree. I think my biggest concern was being the 'Odd ball outer' the 'Old man' in the classroom and through the University College's program, I found out I'm not actually the oldest person in the classroom. It's nice because I actually can bring some live experience - worldly experience - to the classroom that the younger kids seem to enjoy.
I've had some of the most incredible professors that I think anybody could wish they could have. One of my professors is an assistant attorney general for the state of Connecticut, Another professor is published; she's an editor at large for a major magazine. They all bring worldly knowledge to the classroom and are enthusiastic to share that with us.
You learn to budget your time. It's all about self-discipline and I actually haven't had any problems whatsoever. It's about budgeting your time and being disciplined and enjoying what you're doing. I think when you enjoy that, there's an energy and there's an adrenaline that wants to see you just do what you want to do and focus and finish what you started.
