Start Building for the Future -
The Associate of Arts Degree

The Associate of Arts program at University College lets you achieve your first academic credential, with the option of applying credits towards a bachelor's degree in the future. For some part-time students this interim credential step, which requires 60 credits, is preferable to immediately pursuing the full number of 120 bachelor's degree credits. Students come away from the program with higher knowledge and critical thinking in the liberal arts, a degree from nationally recognized Fairfield University, and the foundation to pursue personal and educational advancement.

By enrolling in the Associate of Arts degree program, students can:

  • Take advantage of a flexible schedule of part-time day, evening, weekend, intersession, and on-line courses. University College's flexible schedule even makes it possible to complete your degree without having to attend any day courses so that you can balance work and classes.
  • Transfer up to 30 credits of previous college and work/life experience. University College's academic advisors can provide you with complete information.
  • Benefit from personal advising and customized curricular mapping so that you get the courses and guidance you need when you need them.
  • Choose from a variety of semester formats - 14-week full semester, 7-week ASAP, 1-week winter or spring intersession, 4-week summer, online anytime.
