About the Certificate in International Leadership
Your program of study will include:
Academic Internship (120 hours) / 3 credits
Online Fairfield University Leadership Development course / 3 credits
Online elective courses through Fairfield University or approved courses at host partner institution / 6 credits
Students work with advisors to develop individual academic plans designed to meet academic and professional goals. Internships are available in governmental agencies and NGOs. Participants might work in healthcare in Nicaragua, support a museum curator in Florence, assist at a koala sanctuary in Australia or work with Chinese students in English language classes. As part of an internship, participants will keep a journal, conduct an oral presentation, and produce a faculty-approved research project.
