Tues., April 23Let's Talk Education!

Students for Education Reform and Excel Bridgeport will be having an open dialogue on the topic of the disparities of education. Event is Tuesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. in the BCC Mezzanine. The program is sponsored by the Office of Student Diversity, and will feature the Mayor of Bridgeport Bill Finch, Kevin Coughlin, the Connecticut Director of Education and national advocate for educational justice, as well as Maria Zambrano, Director of Excel Bridgeport. At this event, we will hit on several areas: education issues in troubling areas, personal experiences in unjust education systems, and ways to stop the trend and bridge the gap between well-to-do education systems and marginalized ones. The conversation will be open to all!
