Due May 31Undergraduate Journal Of Global Citizenship: Call for Paper Submissions and Team Members!

The Undergraduate Journal of Global Citizenship is now seeking passionate students who are in interested in editing undergraduate research that explores global citizenship and social responsibility. This is a great opportunity be part of Fairfield's first online journal, which welcomes the interdisciplinary perspectives of undergraduate students from all over the country and the world. There are several opportunities to contribute to the journal (i.e. editing, marketing, communications, and graphic design). We are a very young publication in every sense, so there is ample opportunity to refine how the journal will be managed in the future. We welcome faculty and staff recommendations of that would be most ideal to serve on the journal's editorial team. We will begin to contact recommended students after Easter Break. Of course, students can also recommend themselves for opportunities to work with the journal editorial team.

Please send your recommendations to Nancy Resparza '13, (nancy.resparza@student.fairfield.edu) or Jermain Griffin from International Studies (jgriffin@fairfield.edu). In 2010, the journal was established by the International Studies Program as part of a Bridging Theory to Practice (BTtoP) grant project from the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) to promote responsible global citizenship . The first two issues of the journal were originally published via a Word Press blog. Now the journal is housed in the DiMenna-Nyselius Library's Digital Commons Web repository, making it the University's first online journal.

The purpose of the journal is to highlight and showcase accomplished undergraduate research that promotes different perspectives of global citizenship and social responsibility. The first two issues can be viewed at: http://digitalcommons.fairfield.edu/jogc/. Our third Issue, currently under review, will be available in late April. We are now accepting submissions for our fourth issue. The submission deadline is May 31, 2013. Thank you!
