A peer mediation training program will be available to all students during January, 2010. Peer mediators are trained to help other students resolve conflicts: conflicts among hall residents or roommates, in organizations, clubs or class teams, and many others. The training helps develop lifelong skills in conflict resolution, is a valuable credential for work in all kinds of organizations, and can help create an atmosphere of justice and fairness in student life.
To learn more, and to apply for a place in the training, contact the Conflict Resolution Consortium, Lucy Katz, x 2840, lvkatz@fairfield.edu, or Associate Vice President and Dean Tom Pellegrino, x3425, tpellegrino@fairfield.edu, or visit our web site, http://www.fairfield.edu/student/crc_index.html.
The Conflict Resolution Consortium is generously supported by the Humanities Institute of the College of Arts and Sciences; the Division of Student Affairs; and the Dolan School of Business.
