Graduate School and Post-Grad Service
The Career Planning Center has a series of events including workshops, career fairs, company information sessions, etc. that you should attend throughout your four years. In addition, we also have a series of annual programs for students at different stages of their academic career:
Sophomore Success
Each fall semester the Career Planning Center invites sophomores to be a part of a series of workshops (dinner is provided!) that include topics such as studying abroad, resume writing, interview skills, and more!
Alumni Job Shadow Program (Juniors and Seniors)
Do you have a potential career in mind but would like to know more about the day-to-day aspects of the job? The Alumni Job Shadow Program matches juniors and seniors with a Fairfield alumnus/na who is in a job field that a student is interested in learning more about. Students apply for the program in the fall semester and shadow the alumnus/na they are matched with over winter break. Read more about this program in The Stag Spotlight.
Senior Seminar Series
We know the last year of college can be stressful when it comes to finding a job and getting ready for life post-Fairfield. That’s why we’ve created the senior seminar series to tackle issues seniors want to know more about including finding housing in major cities, analyzing job offers and benefits packages, and we also offer opportunities to hear advice from recent grads about their experience.
If you have questions about any of these programs or want to be reminded about them, please e-mail cpc@fairfield.edu and indicate which program you are interested in.
Graduate students
The Career Planning Center provides comprehensive and free services to all of its graduate students. To assist in developing your personal career strategy, consider scheduling an appointment to identify the Career Planning resources that will best meet your needs.
