Social Justice

Campus Ministry offers several programs for students to actively dedicate themselves to social justice issues.

  • Students for Social Justice (S4SJ): is a dynamic, student-lead group that aims to educate, advocate, and activate around issues of social justice, to be a voice for the voiceless, and to further enrich Fairfield's mission in the service of faith and the promotion of justice.
  • Teach-In: Each year, Fairfield University students, staff, and faculty travel to the annual Ignatian Family Teach-In For Justice and the School of the Americas (SOA) protest in Columbus, GA. An important tradition, participants have an opportunity to learn about the efforts that their Jesuit brothers and sisters are making to help create a more just world.
  • The Students for Life group aims to learn about, understand, and raise awareness about pro-life issues on our campus and in our communities. Students explore initiatives that focus on increasing respect and dignity for humanity.
