Carol O’Neill ’76, BSN, CRRN, MA
Carol graduated from Fairfield University School of Nursing in 1976, and received her M.A. from Columbia University in 1981. Carol started her career as a staff nurse at Albert Einstein College Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. (1976-81), and after moving to New Jersey served as charge nurse at Monmouth Medical Center (1981-1983). After Carol moved to California in 1983, she became a stay-at-home mom, volunteering extensively in a range of school, church, and community projects. In 1992, Carol resumed her career, earning her CRRN and served as a rehab nurse in the brain and spinal injury unit at Mission Viejo Hospital. Carol moved with her family to Ohio in 2005, where she took a part-time philanthropy position with a children’s non-profit. Carol returned to California in 2008 and currently volunteers in the Emergency Department at her local hospital and as an RN at a free clinic. She lives with her husband in Westlake Village, Cal. Her four children are spread across the country and the “Pond,” as one works in London. Carol enjoys reading and travel.
