Q. Do I need to have an undergraduate degree in nursing to apply? |
A. Applicants should have RN and BS degrees. If the bachelors is not in nursing, it may be necessary to take a bridge course. |
Q. How long does it take to complete the degree program? |
A. The program is part-time. Students taking approximately 2 classes per semester will complete the program in 3 years. |
Q. How are courses offered? |
A. Traditionally classes are 1 night per week for 3 hours. Other formats are being introduced to meet the needs of student schedules. Course with clinical components will vary. |
Q. How are the courses structured? |
A. Graduate nursing programs are on campus usually once per week. Course management of materials is usually done with an online program which students will be introduced to. |
Q. What is the application deadline? |
A. There are rolling admissions for the program and students can start in fall or spring. |
Q. Do I need to take the GRE's? |
A. GRE's are not required for the CNL. Admissions are based on a combined evaluation of interview, transcripts, essay, and references. |
Q. Can I transfer graduate credits? If so, how many? |
A. Students can transfer up to 6 core credits if the courses are similar. Evaluation of transfer credits are approved by the Graduate Program Director. |
Q. Can I apply to this program as an international student? |
A. International students are welcome to apply. |
