B.S. in Nursing - RN to BS Program - Requirements
RN to BS Core Courses
Humanities: 12 courses distributed as follows:
- English (EN 11 and EN 12, totaling 6 credits)
- English Core Literature/ EN 100-199 (3 credits)
- History of Western Civilization (3 credits)
- History Elective (3 credits)
- Visual and Performing Arts (two courses totaling 6 credits) or two modern language courses at the intermediate level (totaling 6 credits)
- Philosophy (3 credits)
- Ethics (3 credits)
- Religious Studies (3 credits)
- 3 elective courses chosen from classics, communication, or any of the above disciplines (9 credits)
General Electives: 3 courses (9 credits)
Social Science: 4 courses (12 credits) from at least two disciplines as follows:
- Anthropology
- Sociology
- Psychology
- Political Science
- Economics
Math and Science: 4 courses distributed as follows:
- Science (3-4 credits)
- Science or Math (2 courses totaling 6-8 credits)
- Statistics (3 credits)
Diversity Requirements
Students meet the U.S. diversity with NS 250 and World diversity requirements through enrollment in designated courses (see diversity requirements in catalog).
