Strength & Conditioning

The Department of Athletics is committed to a regimen of fitness, training, and conditioning on the part of all student-athletes. To that end, the University employs a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach to work with all varsity and club teams. The varsity and club weight room is located in the Thomas J. Walsh Athletic Center.

Student-athletes will train under prescribed regimens to meet the needs of that particular sport. Student-athletes may also work with the Strength & Conditioning Coach to design an appropriate individual work-out if necessary.

Fairfield University and the Department of Athletics are firmly opposed to the use of performance enhancing drugs, in particular steroids or any other illegal substances. Student-athletes must also be aware that some legal substances are also banned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and also run counter to the University's expectations of its student-athletes.
