Readmission (undergraduate students)
Former students who withdraw voluntarily or were withdrawn for academic reasons may seek readmission to Fairfield University by written request to the appropriate academic dean's office. Former students who reapply to complete their undergraduate degree after five or more years of absence from Fairfield must meet with the appropriate academic dean to discuss their intentions and evaluate their academic record.
Former students may seek readmission to Fairfield University after dismissal for disciplinary reasons or a withdrawal for medical reasons by written request to the Office of the Dean of Students. Such requests must state the rationale for the request and provide appropriate documentation and/or medical endorsement. Medical endorsements are subject to review and endorsement by the Health Center or Counseling Center.
In all cases of applications for readmission, the deans' offices forward the requests to the Office of the Academic Vice President with a recommendation and for a final decision. Students who are readmitted to Fairfield may request a reinstatement of any previous financial aid; however, that decision is at the sole discretion of the Office of Financial Aid and is subject to available funds and applicable policies.
Students who were withdrawn temporarily for financial reasons or student welfare concerns may be reinstated directly by the Office of the University Bursar or the Office of the Dean of Students. |
