Public Safety is not required at all events sponsored by student organizations. However, Public Safety's presence and/or assistance for events is required where the expected attendance exceeds 200 people or alcohol will be served. Student organizations are responsible for requesting officers directly from the Department of Public Safety, and the cost of officer details must be paid by the sponsoring student organization. For major events, the services of the Fairfield Police Department and Fairfield Fire Department may be required as well.
